VARIOUS MAJOR SCHEMES TAKEN UP BY THE STATE WAQF BOARD FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MINORITIES / WAQF INSTITUTIONS
- Government of Telangana have allocated the Budget of 53.00 Crores to State Waqf Board for (10) months i.e., from June-2014 to March-2015.
- Government have sanctioned and released Rs.213.91 Lakhs towards Grant-in-aid for Repairs, Maintenance and Protection of Waqf Institutions for (3) months i.e. for June, July and August 2014.
- Government have sanctioned and released Rs.427.82 Lakhs as Grant-in-aid to state Waqf Board for (3) months i.e. for June, July and August 2014.
- Government have sanctioned Rs.42.78 Lakhs under “Assistance to Muslim Divorced Women” Scheme for (3) months i.e. for June, July and August 2014. Number of beneficiaries under this Scheme are 301.
- Government have sanctioned & released Rs. 28.52 Lakhs for maintenance of Haj House for (3) months i.e., June, July & August 2014.
- 50.00 Lakhs per District in Telangana for providing financial assistance to Waqf Institutions on the eve of Ramzan.
- Construction of Multi Storied Commercial Complex adjacent to Haj House is in progress for which administrative sanction is given for Rs.15.00 Crores.
- The Waqf Board has sanctioned Rs.3.00 Crores to take up developmental works of renowned Waqf Institutions and work is under progress at following Waqf Institutions.
- Waqf Board has sanctioned Rs. 18.65 Lakhs for observance of Moharram to Anjumans, Sabeels, Ashoor Khanas etc.,
- State Waqf Board has taken steps to increase its resources from its Tenants.
- State Waqf Board has taken up steps for removing encroachments under Provision of Waqf Act, 1995.
